Tapping Reminders send you a gentle daily nudge to tap at the time you choose. Reminders are available in The Tapping Solution app on iPhone, iPad, and Android. They aren't available on the web app.
To set a reminder
- Open the app and tap the gear icon (Settings).
- Tap Tapping Reminders.
- Choose the time you'd like your reminder.
- Turn on Get Reminders.
- Make sure the Get Reminders switch is still on, then tap Save Settings.
If the switch won't turn on or your time doesn't save
On iPhone or iPad
Reminders need notifications turned on. If they're off, the app will show "Notifications Disabled" with a Settings button. Tap Settings and turn on notifications. (If you tap Cancel instead, the switch will turn back off.)
You can also go to your phone's Settings → Notifications → The Tapping Solution → Allow Notifications.
On Android
Reminders need permission to send notifications. On Android 12 and newer, they also need a second permission called Alarms & reminders, which may be off by default.
- Leave the Tapping Reminders screen in the app.
- On your phone, go to Settings → Apps → The Tapping Solution.
- Turn on Notifications, then turn on Alarms & reminders (Android 12 and newer).
- Go back to the app, open Tapping Reminders, and set your reminder again.
Good to know: on Android, the app only asks for these permissions a couple of times, so if you've said no before, you'll need to turn them on in your phone's Settings. Also, if the switch is off when you tap Save Settings, the app may still say "Reminder saved successfully!" but your reminder will be off. Just double-check that the switch is on before saving.
